Carvana buys cars online and picks them up from your home, so you skip the dealer entirely. They work best for newer vehicles under ten years old with clean titles. You get an offer in about two minutes, and pickup takes around 20 minutes.
In our tests, Carvana offered $14,200 for a 2018 Tesla Model 3, which was the highest offer for that vehicle. They also offered $24,600 for the RAV4, beating KBB by $2,100. Offers are valid for 7 days and they handle loan payoffs.

CarGurus offered the highest amounts in two of our three tests. The RAV4 got $25,700, which was $3,200 more than KBB. The F-150 got $24,500, beating KBB by $4,070. They didn’t return an offer for the Tesla Model 3.

The process takes 1 to 3 weeks from start to finish, which is slower than most alternatives. They won’t buy cars older than 20 years or with more than 180,000 miles. Their document system sometimes loses paperwork, and pickup times can get delayed.
