They offered the most or near the most on every junk car we tested. For the 2011 Audi Q5, CashForCars offered $597 compared to SellMax’s $465. They also buy boats, motorcycles, and RVs.
Payment is by check, and your bank may hold it for about 24 hours before you can use the money. They also won’t buy your car if you still owe money on it.

Carvana is the better choice if you have a newer car in decent shape. They offered $14,200 for a 2018 Tesla Model 3 and $22,000 for a 2022 Ford F-150, vehicles that SellMax doesn’t offer competitive prices on.
